2 WEEKNDS, 2 AMAZING CHAMPIONSHIPS!

MAY 8-10th, 2009 NEWPORT BEACH, CA
THE VQS HILLBILLY STOMP CHAMPIONSHIPS

Over the last 3 days, Newport Beach hosted the VQS Championships with this year's theme being Vintage Hillbilly. Overalls, Buck Teef, and bails of hay would cover the beach with kids flocking everywhere. If you won a pair of shades or some ELECTRIC swag, it was because you either played ELECTRIC's undie toss, barnyard scavenger hunt, or online questions that tied into ELECTRIC's commercials that played on the web-cast. The announcers had the ELECTRIC fly swatter to take care of all the mini varmints that buzzed around.

To top it off ELECTRIC gave away the "Hillbilly Huck" which was $1000 to the best maneuver of the whole event. Congratulations to Hawaii’s Matt Meola who punted a 360 Frontside Air, landed in the flats, and had the whole beach on their feet.

Electric would like to thank Volcom, City of Newport Beach, and Carl Holm who has worked so hard over the years to create such a great event for the kids and pros. Hats off Boyz!!

Be sure to check the video link from "VOLT TV" on http://www.youtube.com/electricglasseswww.electricvisual.com for the VQS Hillbilly Stomp Champs news post, and of course all the latest and greatest news from your favorite eyewear company, Electric Visual.

Thanks to all that attended, helped, and just made it the best contest ever. Yeee Hawww!!!!

APRIL 25TH, 2009 MAMMOTH LAKES, CA
PEANUT BUTTER RAIL JAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

Saturday April 25th brought out all the heavy hitters to Mammoth Mountain for the season ender of the PBRJ Champs. With over 240 kids and the sun shining bright you know it was going to be a damn fun day with a whole lot of good snowboarding going down. Electric had their AM-tastic Team of shredders on hand to compete: Tyler Flanagan, Forest Bailey, Johnny Lazz, Dylan Alito, Keith Bennet, and Sam King. For the second year in a row, Volcom and Electric’s team rider Johnny Lazz took home First Place in the Open Division. Big shout out to Johnny Lazz for always putting the icing on the cake and a job well done!

Electric's $1,000 check for the "Gooeyest Move of the Day" was awarded to Cody Boan for his Nollie Front Flip on the Electric Tank of Death.

Electric would like to give big high fives to Volcom, Mammoth Mountain, and Jeff Arnold’s Crew for making the 2009 PBRJ Championships a day to remember.
