A loyal Altamont supporter, Jay's life and prolific creative output touched many (more details HERE). Reatard, born Jimmy Lee Lindsey Jr., was a staple of the Memphis garage rock scene for years before bursting on the national scene with 2006's Blood Visions and subsequently signing to Matador. His most recent album, Watch Me Fall, came out last year. A statement from Matador reads, "Jay was as full of life as anyone we've ever met, and responsible for so many memorable moments as a person and artist. Le planchiste Américain Kevin Pearce, blessé à la tête jeudi en chutant à l'entraînement à Park City (Utah), a été victime d'un "sévère traumatisme du cerveau" selon un docteur de l'hôpital de Salt Lake City où il est soigné dans un "état critique mais stable".
"Kevin a subi une sévère blessure traumatique au cerveau et est maintenu sous sédation, a indiqué le docteur Holly Ledyard dans un communiqué. Il est en soins intensifs, dans un état critique mais stable. Dans la semaine qui vient, nous allons surveiller que son cerveau ne se gonfle pas de liquide et tenter de garder sa pression à un niveau normal."
Selon Mme Pearce, le jeune homme de 22 ans n'a pas encore eu besoin d'être opéré. "Sa rééducation sera très longue", a-t-elle prévenu.
Pearce s'entraînait en vue des sélections américaines pour les Jeux olympiques de Vancouver (12-28 février), qui ont lieu la semaine prochaine à Mammoth Mountain (Californie), quand il a perdu connaissance après que sa tête eut violemment heurté la neige à la réception d'un saut dans la demi-lune.

LOS ANGELES -- Le planchiste américain Danny Davis, victime d'un grave accident dimanche, a annoncé mardi sur internet son forfait pour le reste de la saison, y compris les Jeux olympiques de Vancouver dans moins d'un mois.
Davis, 21 ans, s'est fracturé la troisième lombaire et a dû être opéré lundi, précise la page Facebook du champion, assurant que les médecins "sont certains que Danny va se rétablir complètement".
Le jeune planchiste rejoint ainsi à l'infirmerie son compatriote Kevin Pearce, grièvement blessé à la tête le 31 décembre à la réception d'un saut pendant un entraînement.
Pearce et Davis figuraient parmi les rares snowboardeurs à avoir parfois réussi à battre le champion olympique en titre et roi de la discipline, l'Américain Shaun White. La sélection américaine doit être dévoilée ce week-end après deux dernières épreuves qualificatives dans l'Utah.

Le coup d'envoi du Snowboard Jamboree a officiellement été donné aujourd'hui! Jusqu'à dimanche, la fébrilité sera à son maximum à la Station touristique Stoneham puisque Québec constitue ledernier arrêt avant les Olympiques!
Les équipes ont jusqu'à minuit dimanche pour fournir la liste des athlètes qui seront à Vancouver en février. C'est donc dire que les épreuves et les points qui seront accumulés d'ici à la fin de l'événement seront déterminants. Par exemple, 18 snowboarders canadiens seront aux prochainx JO. De ce nombre, seulement 7 ont déjà été sélectionnés. Les 11 autres le seront après la Coupe du Monde de ce week-end!
Qu'attends-tu? Viens encourager nos Canadiens!
Aujourd'hui fut une excellente journée de qualification pour nos athlètes canadiens desnowboardcross! Du côté des femmes, Dominique Maltais (Petite-Rivière-St-François, QC) etMaëlle Ricker (C-B) ont obtenu leur laissez-passer pour les Olympiques en étant dans le top 5! Chez les hommes, 5 Canadiens se sont taillé une place dans le top 10. C'est donc 9 gars qui seront des finales demain, et de ce chiffre, 6 iront à Vancouver. Viens les encourager pendant la finale jeudi!

I know its often said, but this is easily our favorite season as a collective here at the Hundreds. It not only reflects our maturity as 7 year old niche brand and business, but all that we have learned, experience and fine-tuned when it comes to bringing you the finest apparel from a global streetwear name.
the past decade saw the rise and saturation of modern street culture, and as the next approaches, I've imagined a post-streetwear take on our classic apparel aesthetic. So what you will see over these next season, as far as our offerings go, is a certain modern familiarity with bold colors , smart graphics, traditional sportswear, and premium denim, but through a nostalgic lens. So what were once vivid hues have been toned down to classic shades, raw and crispy fleece may have a more comfortable hand-feel, and the washes follow suit. there is an obvious emphasis on worn-in sweatshirts and ready-to-wear jackets, while our trademark plaid flannels have taken a more subtle approach. the idea here is that these are your favorite the hundreds clothes as you may find them to wear in year's time. Danny Davis wins Mammoth
Mammoth Lakes, CA - Michigan native Danny Davis has just done the unimaginable. Danny has become the first snowboard athlete to nail three doubles in one run. “That was the best halfpipe run I have ever done,” said Davis after he put down a landmark run that included three double corks-a personal and contest first. And it was clearly devoted to good friend Kevin Pearce who is recovering from a serious snowboard injury. Davis said he was connected with Kevin on a spiritual level and it gave him confidence and good vibes on the hill today. The win meant many things to him, but overall he was “just stoked to make everyone smile”. This is a huge accomplishment leading into the Vancouver Olympics. LRG Spring 10 preview
To be honest our Spring 2010 photoshoot was a last minute idea that came from marketing and design. We wanted to give the consumer an emotional tie by shooting on location with vivid scenenery and cutting edge photography. Spring 2010 was shot in Yosemite National Park. Destination photography is the direction we will be taking moving forward. We rented an R.V. and loaded up it up with people, food and equipment and drove all night until the sun came up. We had no idea what to expect but knew we were going somewhere beautiful and unexplored. Beautiful is an undersatement and creativity was in full bloom. We shot skate team riders Rob Gonzalez, Karl Watson and Kelly Hart and also up and coming artist Mike Posner. It took one day to scout locations and the rest we freestyled. We literally stumbled upon some of mother natures finests. This new direction will give L-R-G a more mature feeling and bring personality and life to our clothing. We think you'll agree how refined, polished and distinguished the Spring 2010 line looks. We are forever young at heart and our concept will always remain the same.
